AN ALL-ROUND BONO PROJECT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CRISIS ?!

Yes, and especially NOW! An information initiative as a "job out of conviction" for the CU2 SustainAgency. The contract corresponds 100% to the orientation and ethical principles of the creative agency, which are based on the 17 global "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) of the UN. Created with a lot of passion and in the spirit of EVERYONE. Because it is about the most important information of our time: the importance of real, lived sustainability.

And there she was. The task. A task for which the CU2 team went all out, regardless of the Corona crisis and despite partial amazement at this decision to implement "INITIATIVE2030 - live the goals". From the basic idea and concept development, through the text and the complete design (including 17 campaign subjects and the associated questions) to website programming and constant website support during the entire duration of INITIATIVE2030. So a thoroughly comprehensive project. In the meantime, INITIATIVE2030, which started from scratch, is a steadily growing, voluntary community of different social groups.

But why is all this?

The answer is relatively simple, although the topic of "sustainability" is very complex: parts of the private sector, but above all the population, i.e. the consumers, know too little about the important, globally applicable objectives, which were set down and adopted by in 2015 of the UN in the form of the SDGs, which must be met by 2030. There is even less adequate awareness of the fact that each and every one of us bears a share of responsibility than a part of a larger whole. Because not only business and industry, to which the SDGs are based, but also people are called upon to act responsibly and in accordance with a sustainable way of life.

One might immediately ask the question: but what does that mean exactly? This question is answered by the “Good Life Goals” which, as pedants for the SDGs, address the population. “People need to be informed what sustainability is really about in the sense of the 17 SDGs + GLGs. Therefore, they should also find out that there is much more to it than a blurred, completely abbreviated advertising term that is hardly credible because nobody explains it in an understandable and serious way, ”says Norbert Kraus, CEO and CD of CU2.

Just take part and become visible!

What is that supposed to mean? Quite simply: INITIATIVE2030 is from and for everyone! Supported by pioneers such as the Senate of Economy, companies of all sizes, organizations (e.g. NGOs) and institutions as well as the media can present themselves on the initiative's website and make their commitment to sustainability visible. Even private individuals who register with their name and email address are listed by name, similar to a petition. And completely free of charge and with practically no effort - the CU2 team also takes care of the implementation. Pia-Melanie Musil, CSD of Team CU2 adds: “We just want to make our contribution, but without focusing on ourselves as“ special experts ”, because INITIATIVE2030 is not about us. We just get involved pro bono with what we do best: communicate. "

And it goes on - even after the 17 goals

Until April 26, every Monday and Thursday, punctually at 12 noon, the CU2 team will publish graphically prepared posts or contributions on the accounts specially created for INITIATIVE2030 in the communication channels a) Instagram, b) Facebook and c) LinkedIn . Each day of publication is consecutively (1-17) dedicated to an SDG and the associated GLG. The contributions in the social media can and should be liked and forwarded or shared by all participants. All posts - regardless of the channel - also contain a link that leads directly to the graphically prepared and compact core content of the current goal on the website.

BUT: With SDG + GLG No. 17, INITIATIVE2030 is of course not just over and done with. As a (first) follow-up, with an anticipated start date on May 3, after the presentation of all 17 “target pairs”, BEST PRACTICES - assigned to the individual SDGs - will be presented and advertised in the media, with the aim of lifelike, positive examples of goals already implemented Make sustainability visible!
So we can look forward to some “good news” during these difficult times!
